Scholarship Information

The Josh Samman MMA Foundation is focused on assisting young athletes pursue the life changing dream of MMA. Josh gave back to his community, his family, his friends and the world of MMA in many ways. We would like our scholarship awardees to continue giving back to carry on Josh's legacy.

We prioritize our scholarship awards to Combat Night Veterans, Military Veterans and individuals with a disability. We are currently restricted to awarding scholarships to athletes located in Florida and Georgia. 

Scholarships are awarded quarterly and will be awarded within one month of the application due date. Currently, application due dates are:

  • January 10, 2022
  • April 10, 2022
  • July 10, 2022 
  • October 10, 2022
  • January 10, 2023
  • April 10, 2023
  • July 10, 2023
  • October 10, 2023

​All applications must be received by the due dates above to be considered for that quarter. We request that all applications be submitted via our on-line application process.  

All athletes must also submit three character references. At least one of the character reference being from a Coach or Trainer if you are already involved in MMA. The character reference letters must include the reference's contact information (complete address including city and zip code) should we have further questions.

You must also submit a 1-2 minute video that highlights who you are and what MMA means to you.
